How to become a better person, family, and nation ?

Some of the Jesus' words, and other passages from the New Testament clearly teach us how to think about ourselves, how to treat those around us, and how to put those relationships in parallel with our relationship with God.

There is a common ingredient in many of the following verses, and that secret ingredient is what it takes to build a successful person, which leads to a successful family, and in turn creating a successful and Godly nation.

The 'secret' ingredient is the word "HUMBLE" ! ! !. Arguments and disagreements are always resolved peacefully in almost every case where there is a humble person involved.

On the other side, almost every time a PROUD person is in arguement or disagreement, that argument never ends and sometimes leads to fights between friends, familys, and even countries. A Proud, not humble, person will not level or end an argument unless he's the winner !!!

God loves Humble people, and dislikes the Proud. Humility will lift you up, and Pride will bring you down.

Matthew 23
11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Mark 4
24 "Consider carefully what you hear," he continued. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you--and even more.

Mark 10
43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many

Luke 6
31 Do to others as you would have them do to you
37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Romans 2
6 God "will give to each person according to what he has done."7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

Which one do you want to be, the Proud or the Humble ?
