Our Christian Faith
By: Ninos A. lazar

Assyrian School of Kirkuk was one of the few institutions in Assyrian History that planted the seed of Christ in the hearts of those who attended the school. Our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, I think, is very important in shaping the future of our nation.

Unfortunately, many in our nation have left that seed untouched, have taken our salvation fore granted, and have failed to realize and enjoy the fruits of the Holy Spirit, which are the results of a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

At the same time, many of us have shaped their own view of the Bible, defined their own rules, and many have decided to exclude or to ignore certain parts of the Bible because it doesn't agree with their personal views.

Here, I will start pointing out certain verses from the Bible that I have underlined in my Bible over the years, thinking that it related to us. These verses are some of many verses in the Book that touch some of very important issues, which should be looked at by everyone. Everything in the Bible is for our good. There is nothing in there that is meant to harm us. So, why do we always find excuses, look for contradictions, and argue about what we don't understand in the Bible ?. I hope these points will be taken with an open heart, and pray that will shed some light and clarify some issues that I think are very important.

- Where do we get our Christian teachings from?

- Old Testament and the assyrians !

- Becoming a good person, family, and nation ..

- What does it take to be a Christian ?

May the Lord Bless our nation .
