Late Henry Simon left behind: three brothers: Alexander, Ninos and Nabil and three sisters: Linda, Sandra and Asly Rabbi Henry Shimon, passed away.....

Another tragedy hit the School, this time is the death of RAABI HENRY SHIMON who passed away couple days before Christmas, just a day after the death of his loving mother RAPKA (Rebecca) . The funeral service for both Son and Mother was held at the Mar Gewargis – Assyrian Church of the East in Kirkuk.

In 1960s and until the school was nationalized in 1974, the School had three of the best permanent male-Teachers the school had, i.e. Assyrian teacher Raabi William Shlimon who passed away few years ago, followed by Raabi Younan Gewargis who passed away last May in Kirkuk, now is the last-of-the-three “RAABI HENRY SHIMON” was very gentle, honest, and a man of his word, Rabbi Henry will be missed by many of his friends, his old students and especially the members of the then Parents and Teachers Council.

Rabbi Henry left behind his bereaved wife Raabi Margaret Hormis (also a teacher of the school) and his loving children: son Harbi and daughter Tania both in Syria, three brothers: Alexander, Ninos and Nabil and three sisters: Linda, Sandra and Asly, his cousin and children: Mr. Awikam George in Iraq, Mr. Ronny in Dubai and Mr. Ramie in Iraq, also cousin Mr. Emmanuel George in Iraq. In-laws: Mr. Isaac Hormis in Baghdad, Raabi Warda Hormis in Chicago, Raabi Juan in New Zeeland, and many relatives and friends.

May the Lord rest the souls of Son and Mother in his heavenly kingdom, and we express our deepest condolences to his bereaved wife, his loving children and his cousins and in-laws.

May the Lord Bless.
