I have been in Canada since 2000, and I truly miss my hometown Kirkuk, including my parents, friends and neighbours. Shimun was born in Habbaniya and my late dad Pransa "Francis" Shamoun and
Mom "Asly Malham Shamoun" moved to Kirkuk when I was very young "5 years
old". We lived in "Mahallat Shaterlo" near "Casino Zuhair". I went to
Al-Maamoniya Elementary School"- near Qasr Al-Zuhoor. Then to "Mutawasseta
Al-Sharqiya", and later to E'idadyat Kirkuk = Kirkuk High School. I have 4
sisters: 3 of them, Panna, Fiuna and Susan who are living currently in
Chicago, and the fourth Florence who lives in Toronto. I have one brother
Nabil who lives in Chicago. I would be delighted to hear from anyone and
re-establish contacts to re-fresh our fond memories of the "Good All Days of
Kirkuk"!!. In 1979, I married to Marina , the daughter of Yousip and Mary
Thomas who lived in Baghdad. We have 3 kids: Martin (19), Steven (13) and
